Bridging the gap between business and government

Client: D Group Published: September 2017

Stephanie Elsy first encountered D Group in 2004 when she joined Serco Group as Director of Public Affairs. Serco were members.  She quickly realized that this unique business development and networking organization had the potential to help Serco build its reputation at the highest levels with business and government. Through their exceptional Board level events programme and business networks, the company’s senior executives would develop critical marketplace insight and build relationships with vital business and government stakeholders.

Stephanie managed the Serco relationship with D Group until she left the company in 2012 when she established Stephanie Elsy Associates. After that she continued to maintain her relationship with the D Group when it subsequently became part of Strategy International, which now also incorporates British Expertise. Strategy International now works with over three hundred companies, partnerships and institutions employing more than 7 million people worldwide.

The Challenge

In 2016 Stephanie was invited to join Strategy International’s team and has supported them ever since in developing relationships with potential new members, securing high level speakers for their events, and developing their relationships particularly with local and regional government.

What we did

Working alongside the SI team, using her understanding of business and government, as well as her extensive networks, Stephanie has helped SI meet many potential new members and secure high level speakers for their events programme.

Stephanie helped SI secure the membership of Liverpool Vision who will be delivering the International Business Festival in the City in 2018.

She has secured several high level speakers from politics and business such as Chairs of Select Committees, City Mayors and front bench spokespeople.
